What is Syntech Kanban View?

Syntech Kanban View is a Freedom UI component that displays Creatio records as cards organized into columns by stage. You can place it on any section list page or on a record page, and use any lookup field (status, stage, priority, owner, category) to define the columns.

List views are good for finding records. They are bad at showing flow: where work gets stuck, who is overloaded, how much pipeline value sits in each stage. Kanban View answers these questions at a glance. Teams also update records faster, because changing a stage is a single drag instead of opening a form.

Universal board for any section

Configure a board for leads, opportunities, cases, orders, projects, activities or any custom object. Stages come from any lookup field. Since version 4.3 the board can auto-configure itself from schema columns, so a first board takes minutes.

Drag-and-drop with real-time sync

Move cards between columns and the record updates instantly. Changes made by other users appear on the board without a page refresh. Since 5.1.0 only the affected card re-renders, so large boards stay responsive.

Dynamic Case Management (DCM) support

The component detects Creatio DCM stages automatically, including their configured colors and hierarchy. A case switcher lets you change between DCM cases on the same board, and only actual DCM versions are displayed.

Swimlanes

Group cards horizontally by owner, department or any lookup field. Dragging a card into another swimlane updates both the stage and the assignment in one move.

WIP limits

Set a maximum number of cards per stage. The board warns visually when a limit is exceeded, so bottlenecks become visible before they cause delays.

Stage totals and progress bars

Show sum, average or count in each stage header, with currency formatting ($, €, etc.). This is especially useful for sales pipelines. Progress bars on cards are color-coded from red to green based on a completion value.

Overdue highlighting

Cards with past-due dates turn red. A configurable warning period highlights upcoming deadlines in yellow.

Card grouping, compact mode and collapsible UI

Group cards inside a stage by category, priority or any field. Collapse stages and swimlanes to focus on what matters, or switch to compact view for dense boards.

Work on the card without opening the record

How to set it up

1. Install the app from Creatio Marketplace, or manually via Application Hub → New application → Install from file.
2. Open the Freedom UI Designer for the target page and add the Kanban component.
3. Select the object and the lookup field that defines stages, or use auto-configuration.
4. Choose card fields, swimlanes, totals and WIP limits in the settings panel. No code required.

Which Creatio versions does Syntech Kanban View support? Creatio 8.1.5 and up. Versions 4.0 and later of the component require Creatio 8.3.0 or newer. It works in both cloud and on-site deployments with any supported DBMS.

Does it work with Classic UI pages? No. Syntech Kanban View is built for Freedom UI pages.

Can I use it for custom objects? Yes. The board works with any standard or custom object that has a lookup field to define stages.

Does it support Dynamic Case Management? Yes. DCM stages, colors and hierarchy are detected automatically, and you can switch between DCM cases on the board.

Do I need a developer to configure it? No. Boards are configured in the Freedom UI Designer settings panel. Auto-configuration can build a board from schema columns.
